Affiliate disclosure

Some product links earn us a commission. Here is exactly how that works and what it does not change.

Plainly

The disclosure

Some links in Lensable's product results are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may receive a small commission from the retailer at no additional cost to you. The price you pay is the same either way.

What it does not change

This is the part that matters, so it gets its own heading.

Affiliate relationships do not affect which products are shown or how they are ordered. Results are ranked by visual similarity and match confidence. A retailer cannot pay to appear, to appear higher, or to be labelled a closer match than it is.

There is no paid placement in Lensable, and there are no ads.

Who we have relationships with

Where a programme exists, we may participate with large marketplaces and retailers — for example eBay Partner Network and Amazon Associates. The set changes over time; the rule above does not.

Why we do it at all

Lensable is a paid product, and subscriptions are the main way it is funded. Affiliate commission is a secondary contribution that helps keep the free tier free. If it ever created pressure to rank things dishonestly, it would be the thing we dropped, not the ranking.

How to tell

You can always see where a link goes before you click it, and the merchant is named on every result card. If you would rather not use an affiliate link, search for the product name directly — the result is the same for you.
